"They’ve stopped for now?" Lin Xuan Qi frowned when he heard the fishmonger and said, "Where are they? I need to talk to them."

He didn’t want to miss this optimal time to grow the kelp and he would have to try and persuade the fishermen to do so before it was too late.

The fishmonger pointed in a direction where there were many wooden huts built closely together.

"They should be back from the sea by now.

"Go and ask for Lee or Huang.

"Both of them have invested the most in trying to farm the kelp."

"Thanks." Lin Xuan Qi took out some copper coins from his sleeve pocket and gave them to the fishmonger.

"You don’t need to..." The fishmonger tried to push away the copper coins as customary courtesy but he kept them after Lin Xuan Qi insisted on it for a few moments.

Lin Xuan Qi walked over to where the wooden huts were and saw fish nets hanging on wooden racks all over the area.

There were also some women busy fixing the fish nets while their kids ran around the area.

"Watch out!" One of the women shouted when she saw her kids getting near to Lin Xuan Qi.

She quickly stood up, dropped the tools for fixing the fishing net she had in her hands and ran over to her kids.

With a forceful tug, she pulled her kids back before they could get near Lin Xuan Qi.

The woman gave out a sigh, bowed at Lin Xuan Qi and said, "I’m so sorry, young master... My kids are young and playful, hope they didn’t offend you."

"It’s fine." Lin Xuan Qi said and gave out a silent sigh.

The lives of those who were poor and of low status weren’t the greatest in the Da Qian Dynasty.

He would have to make sure that his Lin Clan wouldn’t fall into such a situation.

"I’m looking for Lee or Huang, do you know where they are?" Lin Xuan Qi asked and the woman bowed at him and pointed to her left.

"They are neighbors and those are their huts."

"Thank you very much." Lin Xuan Qi said and he went on his way to the huts of Lee and Huang.

When he got near to their huts, Lee and Huang were sitting outside enjoying the sea breeze and having a drink with each other.

They frowned and glanced at Lin Xuan Qi warily when he got near, not knowing what someone like him would want from them.

"How can we help you, young master?" Lee asked with his hand holding his wine cup frozen in the air.

Lin Xuan Qi cupped his hands at them and said, "I’m from Hong Feng City and had been buying the kelp from the fishmongers."

Lee and Huang glanced at each other and exclaimed with excitement, "Oh... That’s you!"

They were glad to be able to see the person who had helped them make so much more money than before.

"Yes, that’s me and I have a small favor to ask from you." Lin Xuan Qi gave them a smile and said.

"Small favor? We are more than willing to help you even if it’s a big one." Lee said and thumped his chest.

Huang nodded his head vigorously by the side.

"Our huts wouldn’t have been built if it wasn’t for you." Lee gestured at the two huts that were behind them and said.

Lin Xuan Qi wanted to cup his hands at them but they quickly stopped him.

"Please, young master, we don’t deserve such courtesy from you." They pleaded with him and bowed at him.

"Then, I shall get straight to the point.

"I heard that you were trying to farm the kelp and you’ve stopped for the time being.

"But I want to tell you that the temperature from winter till spring is the optimal time for the kelp to grow.

"I know that it is cold and much more difficult to do so right now, but it is best to continue with it."

"Is it?!" Lee exclaimed and he glanced at the sea where there were platforms made of wood with ropes dangling down into the sea.

These were constructed to farm the kelp and they were empty without anyone working on them now.

Lee glanced at Huang and said, "I told you we should keep going."

"How would I know?" Huang shrugged his shoulders and said.

"Fine." Lee didn’t want to banter with Huang and he turned back to glance at Lin Xuan Qi.

"Thank you so much for letting us know.

"We will get back to it as soon as possible." Lee bowed at Lin Xuan Qi and said, with Huang following and doing the same by his side.

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and said, "Do help to spread the word around, I will need much more of the kelp than before for next year."

Lee stood up and scratched the back of his head, "Don’t worry about that.

"The others will follow when they see us working on farming the kelp again.

"They wouldn’t want to be left behind.

"If you know us well enough, we fear those that are close to us making more money than anything else."

Huang nodded and chuckled along with what Lee had said.

"If that’s the case, I shall leave it to you." Lin Xuan Qi said and he bid them farewell.

He got back onto his horse carriage and headed back towards Hong Feng City immediately.

Although the scenery was nice in Bai Sha village, he still preferred his mansion with the warmth and company of Xue Cong and the others.

It didn’t take too long for the journey and he was back just in time for dinner.

"Master Lin, welcome back. I will get the kitchen to prepare for dinner." Xiu greeted him when she saw him enter the main hall.

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and sat down in his favorite seat.

He was glad for what he was able to accomplish within the past few days.

All was going well and he was thinking about getting more businesses under his fold.
